I really did love Eddie having gotten to know him and his quirks over the last few years. From the first phonecall, when he mispronounced my name as Alfie which later became Alfred the Great, there was never a dull moment. Sometimes singing down the phone or just setting me up for one of his jokes. Sometimes writing a grumpy email which quite rightly pointed out that I was talking absolute nonsense. I’ll never be able to get my head around the amount of knowledge in your head. Last time I was down to see you, we spoke more about your family and it was clear they were your absolute pride and joy and you were so proud of them and everything they did. It was really special to get to know the Eddie outside of work. I’ll really really miss you - Aoife
